900 Celebrations
For 900 years Christians in Blackmore and the surrounding areas have worshipped here promoting spiritual growth, understanding and support for the whole local community. In recognition of this special event, celebrations were held on the weekend of the 6th to 8th June 2014.
This began with a music evening in the church on the Friday featuring members and friends of the church, local groups and the Blackmore Primary School Choir.
A medieval parade followed by a fayre in the churchyard was held on Saturday during the day. This was followed with a medieval feast in the church in the evening.
On Sunday a celebration Communion service was held following which a time capsule was buried in the churchyard. A service of evensong was held on Horsefayre Green to round off the celebrations.
